The Dot.orgs are coming: SYNTAX Digital launches specialized design and digital solutions for NGOs and non-profit organizations

Amman, 25 April, 2001

SYNTAX Digital
, ( www.syntaxdigital.com ), a provider of integrated design and digital media solutions, has announced the creation of a new practice focused on providing design, media and digital solutions for global and regional non-governmental, non-profit and international organizations.

This sector is particularly undeserved by mainstream branding and internet consulting companies. Global and regional NGOs have been among the first benefactors of the proliferation of the internet, but still have not received proper attention from providers of digital solutions. Many non-profit and global development organizations' online, multimedia and publishing efforts suffer from fragmentation or inconsistency.

"SYNTAX is well positioned to serve clients in the non-profit and non-governmental sectors. We already serve a number of prominent organizations and have acquired a great deal of experience in this field," said Ahmad Humeid, CEO of SYNTAX Digital.

During the last three years, SYNTAX has provided web development, web applications, publishing consulting, design and branding services for UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNDP, the Red Cross, ProVirtus, Jemstone and many other organizations operating on global and regional levels.

The new practice will be led by SYNTAX co-founder Salua Qidan, who has been responsible for designing numerous projects for the company's Dot.org clients. She is joined by a group of seasoned designers, information architects and technologists who together will form the practice's task force.

"What we bring to these organizations' media and informational efforts is a high degree of professionalism, well crafted creative solutions and an involvement in their subject matter. It is always exciting to work with organizations who tackle issues that directly touch people's lives and where information can have a direct impact," Qidan said.

"We feel that our direct presence in different markets and our multicultural nature helps us provide our client, especially in the dot.org sector, with a unique understanding of today's complex media and information landscape," she concluded.

SYNTAX, a digital solutions and branding specialist, has pioneered the field of internet solutions in the Middle East since 1995 and has, since then, transformed itself into a multicultural, multidisciplinary firm with a presence in New York City and Berlin and Amman, Jordan.
